M1 Abrams Tank
Since 1980, the M1 has been the Army's principal combat tank. It delivers maximum firepower against heavily armored enemies and can operate in any climate and lighting conditions. Such variants as the M1A1 and M1A2 add nuclear/biological/chemical (NBC) survivability, advanced thermal sensors, and powerful computing upgrades.
M2/M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV)
The Bradley Fighting Vehicle serves as a troop transport, and can lay down covering fire during deployment. It also has defense capabilities against enemy tanks, armored vehicles and helicopters. The M2 Infantry version specializes in maneuverability and firepower, while the M3 Cavalry version is optimized for reconnaissance and security missions.
Cougar
The Cougar is classified as an Armored Vehicle General Purpose (AVGP). It carries a three-man crew and is generally used for reconnaissance and combat-support.
Stryker
The Stryker is agile, fast, and strong. It can quickly deploy a large number of Soldiers, maneuver nimbly in close urban landscapes, and provide covering fire in open terrain. It can be customized for a wide variety of missions, like medical evacuation, engineering squad transport, and Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) launches.
M1117 Guardian
The M1117 Guardian is an armored security vehicle designed to safely transport personnel. The M1117 has multiple layers of armor to protect against small arms fire, shrapnel and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The M1117 can also be equipped with a Mk 19 Grenade Launcher and a M2HB Browning machine gun.
M-ATV
This vehicle can be used in a variety of functions, including combat support, light transportation and surveillance.
RG-31 Nyala
The Nyala is multi-purpose mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) armored vehicle. It can resist a blast equivalent to two TM-57 anti-tank mines.
