Cardiovascular Specialist

As a Cardiovascular Specialist, you’ll have intensive training in order to work under physicians to treat cardiac emergencies, assist in patient examinations, and administer invasive and noninvasive cardiac tests and examinations to monitor the heart conditions of your fellow Soldiers. You'll create images of patients' hearts using ultrasound technology, and you’ll help physicians administer cardiac catheters and other invasive procedures if needed.

Requirements

  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • Two phases of Advanced Individual Training. Phase one is 21 weeks at Fort Sam Houston TX, and phase two is 35 weeks at one of several locations.
  • 107 ASVAB Score: General Technical (GT)
  • 101 ASVAB Score: Skilled Technical (ST)
